Mr. Green's Office an outdoor garden in a high -rise concrete block

A building with so-called “green matter” reaching out. The project was honored at the Ashui Awards 2022 in the interior of the year award category. The following are the photos and comments of the jury about this impressive office project.

We, the children of nature, love nature. Stumbled upon a customer with the same love for plants, flowers, love comfort and lightness. From there, together, we created an outdoor office.

Vietnam’s urban areas are increasingly losing the gaps and green areas that are necessary for the living environment. The rapid development of an economic center of a country makes the city appear more and more high-rise concrete blocks, young businesses and workers spend thousands of hours of intellectual activity in finite blocks of space, emotional limits.

Our client, and MIA Design Studio, is not one of them. We overcame the barrier, forming the idea of building an “outdoor office” in a giant concrete office building.

The building is an office building with many floors. The office is used part of a building floor. When opened from the elevator, the elevator lobby leads to the space of the reception and lobby, which is filled with a small bonsai garden and waiting seating as a message of the host’s hospitality.

The main materials used in the project show the authenticity of the space and from the coolness of the metal creates contrast, complementing the lightness and leanness. From there, the greenery becomes a colorful “miss” in a neutral, gentle picture.

Being led inside, the experiencer will completely lose the feeling of restraint and stuffiness of the city when going to the “outdoor reception garden” of the “owner”. The seating space and meeting room are arranged with carpets around a piece of natural garden. Not only has the function of creating privacy from the surrounding buildings looking at, this garden also has the function of regulating light, reducing the glare in the afternoon, directly and brightly entering the office.
