The chairman office is inspired by the ocean

I never wanted my office to be just four walls with desks, chairs, and papers. After a trip to sea that year, I realized: the ocean is where my mind can truly drift and be creative. From the sound of waves, the sparkling sunlight on the water, to the salty wind. All of these became the inspiration for me to create this working space. The chairman office is no longer an “office”. It is a private deck, where every idea sails out to sea. Here, I am both the leader of the business and the dreamer in the middle of my own quiet ocean.

1. Space – The overall architecture of the chairman office is like a “creative deck”

I still remember the first moment I sketched this space. It was not an office, but a creative deck. Every step was a voyage. I chose to work with an architect specializing in resort spaces. It was no coincidence. I wanted every corner of the room to be able to “breathe”. The air must not just circulate, but must be like a sea breeze, like the salty scent that penetrates the mind of the person thinking.

We built curved glass walls, all facing the vast sky ahead. Like a boat gliding on the waves, the space opens up without limits, inviting creativity to drift in the ocean of ideas. Underfoot is a natural ironwood floor, walking on it sounds like the gentle creaking of wood as the boat glides on the waves. The soaring ceiling, inspired by the shape of a sail in the wind, is both free and sturdy.

Natural light is the “conductor” here. We don’t use artificial light to guide emotions. The sunlight, reflected on the floor and glass, is like the sea breaking under the early morning sky. And in that quiet space, you can hear a very light, very real simulated sound of the ocean waves. Enough to calm the heart, to let ideas pop up. This is not just a workplace. This is a ship and I am a sailor going out to sea every day. (When the sun and wind touch the chairman’s meeting room).

2. Chairman office interior – “Bringing the ocean into the room”

I often joke with my colleagues: “My office has no door to the sea. But the sea is hidden in every detail here.” This space, I do not call it an office. It is a private ship’s cabin. The place where I set sail every day, not with oars, but with the thoughts and courage of a captain. The light blue covering the wall is like the gentle dawn of the ocean. While the pure ivory white of the curtains reminds me of the foam of the waves breaking in the early morning sunlight. To balance, I chose sand gray – a calm color. Like the smooth sand where I used to stop, to calm my mind before making big decisions.

I love soulful materials like rustic woven bamboo. Driftwood from the sea, navy leather – dark and sturdy. My desk is a solid block of oak. With a grain that curves like the never-ending waves. Every time I touch it, I am reminded of my never-ending journey.

I sat relaxing on the hammock, reminiscent of lying on the deck of a ship in the middle of the windy sea. In front of me, the abstract painting resembled currents flowing at the bottom of the ocean. Silent but full of attraction, leading my ideas to drift away. The bookcase was designed with a gentle curve like a seashell. It is not only a place to store precious books. It is also a treasure trove of knowledge, memories and unfinished dreams. This is both my workplace and the daily journey of my mind and aspirations. 3. Personal feelings – “I find myself in this space”

Every morning when I step into this room, I feel like I am floating in the middle of a vast ocean. Where the ripples of ideas quietly caress my soul. The pressure and worries of work seem to disappear. Only a feeling of lightness and relaxation remains, like gentle waves touching the soft sand. The space is not just a workplace. It is a spiritual harbor, where I find myself amidst the vastness of thoughts and aspirations.

From here, creative thinking seems to be lit up with a brighter flame. Because my mind is at rest, no longer constrained by daily calculations. Meetings are no longer tense. Instead, they become leisurely conversations like whispering waves in a calm ocean. Making each opinion, each decision become gentler and more profound.

This room also has a special personal touch. The wooden ship model given to me by my father, simple but full of meaning. It reminds me of humble beginnings, persistently reaching out to the ocean. The nautical chart hanging in the corner of the wall is not only a decoration. It is also a symbol of the pioneering spirit. Always looking towards new horizons, unexplored seas.

That is my journey. Not only on the sea, but also in the journey of leading the business forward. With a free, creative and inspired mind.(Top 5 stormy president’s office designs in 2026).

Conclude

More than just a room, my workspace is like a miniature ocean. Where ideas float and emotions blend. As the waves gently lap at every corner, I realize that I am not only steering a business. I am also navigating myself through the shores of creativity and peace. In that space, pressure melts away like the sea breeze, leaving behind a sense of serenity and depth. That is where I learned that: to steer a big ship, one must first let one’s soul be as free as the ocean waves. Indomitable, immense and resilient.
